You realize that the word ‘armed’ means more that just carrying a gun, right? If you hit someone with a brick, it’s called ‘armed assault’. And using weapons is not a necessary condition of an insurrection.

First by pissing itself you mean legitimately concerned that an armed mob tried to storm the capital building to try and overturn an election then yes.Because that is something that shouldn't happen. And there is NO DISPUTE this was an insurrection as it was an attempt to stop a government body from performing its job with violence and intimidation.
Second If guns were not dangerous the protesters wouldn't have brought them and they are ineffective if the person neither has the inclination nor opportunity to use them and people who have both inclinations have access to them (which could anyone and everyone)
So there is no contradiction here

The only legitimate use for small arms as an insurgent is to quietly acquire and quietly employ them..in getting some explosives. AKA, holding some poor unarmed fucking american at gunpoint while you rob him or his employer.
