RE: I've made a new video against low-carb diets

Knew a guy years back who consumed highly fattening food. He had a huge stomach, too. Told him he might be contributing to heart disease, but his reasoning for that being unlikely was genetics. Apparently, since there was no history of heart disease in his family, he could eat however he wanted.

My family has no history of beheadings. This doesn't make me genetically immune from the consequences of sticking my head into an industrial fan.

I think eating a lot of sesame seeds is bad for heart health because of all that methionine in them increasing LDL cholesterol.
What would you consider 'a lot'?

It's a scientific term meaning 'more than some'.

Give the amount of that amino acid in sesame seeds and the amount it may or may not raise LDL, I don't think eating a sesame roll is much of a risk. It's probably only a concern if you opt for the extra-large bucket of sesame seeds in place of popcorn at the cinema.

Did they teach you about methionine in your school? I remember we briefly mentioned it at high-school as an amino-acid with which every protein synthesis starts. I am quite sure that we weren't taught about the dangers of eating too much methionine nor where it is found.

Were you also taught about the dangers of eating too many bricks?
