The only thing under their control was the choice of "doing the intercourse" or not.
That was just a rough analogy. The point was, if you were created, your creator only has might, not right, to mistreat you. And if he does that, he can at most expect obedience, but not genuine love and respect, because that has to be earned.

Honestly, the first question you have to ask a guy like winter, is how often his parents beat the living shit out of him. Either they did it all the time and he thinks that's how it should be, or they didn't do it enough and he grew up thinking maybe they didn't care enough to hit him..but either way you're going to get a horrible fucking sob story...if it's lead to what we see in front of us.

Well, let's hope that's not the case, but yeah, something like that could explain it. It just always surprises me that theists so often get bent out of shape about people exercising their supposedly God-given free will rather than blindly and unconditionally worshipping their god no matter how unfairly they are treated in return.

Don't you have two eyes?
A tongue and two lips?
Even if you are blind and deaf; you still have thoughts and a brain.
The obedience is for getting rewards only, but the more one is obedient for God the more they realize that this life is a mere timed simulation that will end very soon. So it won't last, no pain in this simulation will last, it is only for a timed period.
Being a timed test is in itself a mercy deserving obedience. Imaging if instead, humans lived for Millions of years, with chronic diseases.

Actually it's not pain; but fatigue. With M.S, your stamina gets depleted just like a meter a cellphone battery; literally.
So you start your day with 85% power. Then it depletes and deplete, you don't feel pain, but your eyelids just drop and you wanna ZzzzZZZ.
That's why I take long time in replying.

I'm sorry to hear that. My sister has pretty much the same thing, and can barely get up the stairs sometimes. It's just so horrible seeing someone who used to be so vibrant and full of life reduced to that.
