Italians cemented their honorary white status between 1965 and 1975. As a consequence it's relatively rare, even for a racist, to think of italians as black. Whiteness was important to italians, and italian whiteness was important to racists, especially after the civil rights movement.

A hell of alot of mexicans think that they're white too. That's part of what's driving the lurch toward republicanism in the latino demographic, especially and counterintuitively, along the southern border and gulf. They believe that a white ethnostate will benefit them because they believe they are white. They didn't cross the border..the border crossed them, or they were white back home, so they're gonna be white here too.
I can see how a black man would come to that conclusion. Honestly, anyone who can choose to identify as white, really is white - but not everyone can. What's really fun, is running that odd factoid through the great replacement ringer. The whites are worried that theyre being replaced by people who increasingly identify...as white....and in order to prevent that they need the help of...drumroll please....white latinos.

Americans have overwhelmingly voted blue for decades and the effect of that was the government getting redder and redder. Any rate, it's not that I haven't decided something. I have. I've decided that both parties are a raging dumpster fire in their own unique ways and that neither of them compels -me- to give my vote..to them. Which..I mean, is my right..right? Either party, or a new party as yet unknown..could..at any time, win my confidence. The quality of the salesforce for the reds and blues is not my problem. I don't buy busted cars either.
