The Kremlin cannot do anything but tell them fairytales that “The West” is going to face an alliance of 2 billion people if they were to defeat Russia (Meaning that North Korea, China, Iran, their allies in Africa, Cuba and Venezuela are going to jump in to rescue Russia if necessary).
I’ve also read about extremely cruel methods of punishing soldiers. Like putting the two of them in a pit with AK-47’s pointed at them and forcing them to fornicate one another (and I believe this is true).
+ The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not known for his respect of democratic western values. Yet in his visit to Moscow, he also warned his “friend and ally” about the loss of civilian lives in the conflict.
+ Russians are overtly lying about what it was that hit the children’s hospital in Kyiv despite the fact that there is almost clear evidence that they hit it with a kh-101 missile that was deliberately fired from some aircraft:

Some months ago a major push to dredge up meat from the russian public offered absurdly high salaries for a six month contract. What is the meat learning?
That payments to soldiers and their survivors are spotty. That due to manpower shortages from the million or so casualties in ukraine, russian companies at home now pay more. That their contracts have been extended indefinitely by presidential decree. That the mod and presidents office do not return calls or mail.
They're feeling some sort of way about it on social media.

The only reason the Kremlin hasn't been burnt to the ground is 'cause the Russian people have been treated like mushrooms. Some bits have slipped through and it's only a matter of time before the facade fails but we could still have a while before that happens.
A few months ago it was estimated that at the current rate of attrition Russia's stockpiles would be spent by 2027, though that rate of expenditure must increase as the decent stuff has already been used and they're dragging out the museum pieces to overhaul for service.
My guess is there'll be a general mobilization in 2025. They'll likely not directly attack a NATO country but I would expect some crisis to 'suddenly occur' and threaten to draw NATO members' attention.
