US Strikes on Iran (Operation Epic Fury)
RE: US Strikes on Iran (Operation Epic Fury)
To wit -- this was in my morning news feed:

Quote:A senior Iranian security official on Monday said Tehran is not in talks with President Trump adding that Trump “backed down” from further attacks on energy infrastructure due to pressure from the markets and allies.

“Trump backed down from attacking critical infrastructure as Iran’s military threats became credible. Financial market pressure and the threat of bonds within the US and the West have increased, and this has been another important factor in this retreat,” the senior official told Iran’s Fars News Agency in translated remarks.

The comments follow Trump’s announcement that the U.S. will pause strikes on Iranian energy infrastructure for five days.

The president said in a Monday Truth Social post the decision followed “in depth, detailed and constructive conversations” with counterparts in Iran, adding that talks would carry on “throughout the week.”

However, the senior Iranian official said Tehran will continue to defend itself until “we achieve the necessary deterrence.”

“There has not been and is not any negotiation underway, and with this type of psychological warfare, neither will the Strait of Hormuz return to its pre-war conditions, nor will there be peace in the energy markets,” the official added.

I never thought I'd see the day when I regard the Iranian regime as more credible than the American administration ... but here we are.

Europe don't really give a shit about dead Palestinians. As of now genocidal regime isn't even sanctioned (unless something happened with no news coverage) so talking about Europe stepping in is a pure fantasy.”

- No. Since Trump started to treaten them with NATO / Greenland etc. European sovereignty is a big issue. And Europe also wants to have a say in regional issues etc because the US is clearly unable to always provide for it anymore.

“Israel was established in 1948 and celebrated it by ethnic cleansing in the same year (Nakba). It was criminal regime since it's very inception and if zionism was really important in creating it then it was criminal even before birth as zionism was nothing more than colonial ideology denying personhood to Palestinians: (…)”

- There is a distinct Jewish identity (cultural, religious and ethnic) in this world. Just like there is Greek, Armenian and Kurdish identities.

And it’s not simple to solve these issues. Like the Kurds of Turkey: “Should they have autonomy? Should we assimilate them? Will it be the rule of the strongest?”

These are not simple issues. What about the Scots? What about the Basque region? What about Corsica? There was a time when the French President Charles DeGaule even said “Algeria is France”. Or what about India? Let’s even ask about Belarus? Ukraine? Poland?

So my personal approach is to seek answers through logic and feelings of empathy. Should there be an Israeli state?
- They already have it.

Should there be a Palestinian State?

- Not like this. Not like Lebanon. I want these folks to have at least something like Egypt or Syria. How can a land in which you die everyday be considered “your” land.

I want a strong Palestinian + Lebanese Authority that has military power and is secular in nature and I want them to negotiate with a more sober Israeli government.  I don’t believe in any other way.

If such happen at all then it is a crime rather than casus belli. And even if one think that it is a reason for war then israel have no right to start it as it ain't wronged party here.
Your apologia is nothing more than bullshit.”

- I’m at the next level already. I’m searching for more permanent solutions. They Just bombed Iran and are (if I am correct) walking away for now. But they are going to do it again in the future. So one way or another, this IRI will have to go, then we can focus on Israel and bring them in line if you see what I mean. (supposing that this IRI is going to go. Right now I have my doubts on that too)

I can see it. Thanks for confirming my suspicions about you being walking piece of shit.”

- I don’t know if this is going to work

You do understand I hope that European sovereignty and Europe stepping in to stop israel are two different issues? Europe might want to have say but I'm yet to see any sign of it being interested in stopping israel genocide.

So? This gives this criminal regime right to act as it pleases? This gives it right to kill children? Bomb schools?

Genocidal regime should be brought to order by force and its leader judged by appropriate court.

As for Kurds - autocratic regime you live in should be brought to order too considering that since the 1970s, the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has condemned Turkey for thousands of human rights abuses. It is no wonder you're so sympathetic to israel. Both regimes use similar methods - The judgments are related to executions of Kurdish civilians, torturing, forced displacements, destroyed villages, arbitrary arrests, murdered and disappeared Kurdish journalists.

You're drunk? Or simply running on fumes to justify israel crimes? Last time I checked neither Poland nor Ukraine or even Belarus which is authoritarian shithole were accused of genocide. In fact Ukraine was subjected to one in the past by regime which you deem rational and not truly evil - USSR.

Then perhaps israel shouldn't have it? It's hardly a moral thing to reward oppressor. Why should victims be dispossessed and not genocidal regime?

I want genocidal regime punished. Occupied if that's what will be needed. It's quite telling that you don't advocate for any kind of sanctions for issrael.

You're certainly on next level of bullshit and fellating genocidal regime. You freely admit that israel attacked Iran but it is Iran that will have to go. It's a wonder that you can write with israel collective cock lodged in your throat.

Your bullshit certainly will not work on me. You're piss poor propagandist, unable to even slightly hide your monstrous bias and thus damned to be unsuccessful in your agitprop.

Quote:Israel is planning to use Gaza as a “model” for its expanding assault on Lebanon, its defense minister said on Sunday as he pledged to begin the demolition of homes in border villages.

In a statement Sunday, Defense Minister Israel Katz said he and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had ordered the Israel Defense Forces to “immediately destroy all the bridges over the Litani River that are used for terrorist activity, in order to prevent the passage of Hezbollah terrorists and weapons southward.”

He also said he’d ordered the military to “accelerate the destruction of Lebanese homes in the border villages in order to thwart threats to the Israeli settlements—in accordance with the Beit Hanoun and Rafah model in Gaza.”

Dylan Williams, the vice president for government affairs at the Center for International Policy, described the invocation of this “Gaza model” as “an open admission of intent to commit ethnic cleansing” in Lebanon.

The two cities Katz referred to were largely wiped off the map during the Gaza genocide...

How will you try to justify issrael criminality this time?

- Well that doesn’t always work that way. Are you an advocate for the rights of Native Americans in your country? If yes, that is good for you. But there are nuances. And it doesn’t make me a walking dead zombie when I tell you that there are nuances in this world.

My country cannot (could not) issue automatic independence to the Kurds. It’s as simple as that. Today there are two main ethnic identities within Belgium. And in the 1990’s they voted to remain unified.

So when we talk of cultural identities, ethnicity or an ethnic-religious group like the Jews we need to proceed carefully.  There is not one and the same answer to that yet. But the 19th century was the time when nationalism was on the rise everywhere in the world. And what you described is basically the Jewish way of being nationalistic. I know it’s …ed up. But that’s how the whole thing unfolded for them Smile

- No the solution is what you said. Israel should be forced to comply to UN resolutions. But how do you even start doing that when the US is making a joke of almost all UN resolution?

- If the US stops sending weapons the IDF will be out of munitions within weeks. Think of the artillery shell shortages in Ukraine. It’s all coming from the US.

If the world pooled its resources and constructed a viable Palestinian state on Mars, Israel would STILL try to destroy it.

I just bet. It doesn't work that way when it is one country that must make the "effort" to stop human rights abuses.

Quote:Are you an advocate for the rights of Native Americans in your country? If yes, that is good for you. But there are nuances. And it doesn’t make me a walking dead zombie when I tell you that there are nuances in this world.

There are no Native Americans in my country. There are nuances sure, though not where you see them.

It could stop human right abuses but I bet you also have excuse ready for why it is not possible.

No. I'm not talking about Jews. It is israel, a genocidal regime, that I am criticizing. I don't give a shit about how things were done in XIX century or about cultural identity or other crap when genocide is the subject.

Quote:No the solution is what you said. Israel should be forced to comply to UN resolutions. But how do you even start doing that when the US is making a joke of almost all UN resolution?

Don't play dumber than you are. I say what I think should be done and that's all. I'm not president of the world so all I can do is to offer my opinion. Or you imagine that words of some internet random will have any pull with world governments?

Quote:If the US stops sending weapons the IDF will be out of munitions within weeks. Think of the artillery shell shortages in Ukraine. It’s all coming from the US.

Then US should stop sending it. Simple as that. But guess what - I can't force USA to do so.

israel still needs to be taught a lesson. Genocide isn't something that can just be forgiven or ignored.

Article states that he was detained for committing offense. Of course Iran ain't a nice country so there might have been no offense at all.

I will say that - if Iran really is detaining people for no reasons then it is a crime. Reason for sanction or other form of retaliation that does not involve war. israel aggression still isn't justified.

I guess you have some common sense. I was never tempted to visit any autocratic country.
