My wits... no, a katana and my wits. And a sawed off... A few plasma granades from halo. And a moonraker laser; cant forget about that.
And a piano wire just in case.
And a buck knife...
But my wits.
Lets just throw in a few hydro bombs and a rocket launcher for good measure.

Sounds like the gear of a vampire hunter.

If there is a mosquito on the ceiling, a rolled up hand towel balled up and thrown will squash the mosi without smearing the ceiling. I could possibly take a burglars eye out with swift flick if I had to.

Naginata.
1: Easily used as a costume prop. Even a walking stick if I want one for whatever reason.
2: I am somewhat familiar with poles, and I feel my secure in my ability to use one (and safety in doing so) than I would with a gun (which terrifies me, and I'm not saying why).
3: Weighs less than the likes of a halberd. I require mobility or I might as well just hack off the blade end and use the pole.
4: It strikes a nice balance of versatility... slash, stab, hack, fluid strikes, a nonlethal option of attack, can move self in tandem with the polearm.
5: I don't really need a reason to just like it

It's name is "Guan-do", a Chinese polearm.

Nub don't know that it is 3 things at once. Here
Wikipedia Wrote:A naginata consists of a wooden shaft with a curved blade on the end; it is similar to the Chinese Guan Dao or European glaive. Usually it also had a sword-like hand guard (tsuba) between the blade and shaft. The 30 cm to 60 cm long naginata blade is forged in the same manner as traditional Japanese swords. The blade has a long tang (nakago) which is inserted in the shaft (nagaye or ebu), the blade is removable and is secured by means of a wood peg (mekugi) that passes though a hole (mekugi-ana) in both the nakago and the nagaye (ebu). The nagaye (ebu) ranges from 120 cm to 240 cm in length and is oval shaped. The area of the nagaye (ebu) were the naginata nakago sits is the tachiuchi or tachiuke. The tachiuchi (tachiuke) would be re-enforced with metal rings (naginata dogane or semegane), and or metal sleeves (sakawa) and wrapped with cord (san-dan maki), the end of the nagaye (ebu) had a heavy metal end cap (ishizuki or hirumaki). When not in use the naginata blade would be covered with a wooden sheath (saya).[1]

They look nearly identical, however most modern Guan Do's have a red sash attached just below the blade.

Katana for sheer elegance.
Against a burglar a .38 magnum would be just fine. (our police carry them)
Against a predefined enemy,a sniper rifle ,from a distance.Running over an enemy with a tank would also work for me.
