The burden of proof relating to conciousness, free choice and rationality

RE: The burden of proof relating to conciousness, free choice and rationality

Quote:Absolutely, except those moments where you decided to argue possibility and then draw conclusions about choice. Which would be every moment.

You have given me no rational answers to debate with. There is just the pressing of questions that I have already answered many times over. If you want to debate then bring something new to the table.

Quote:I'd rather have a giggle at your complete lack of understanding than waste my time trying to drill any knowledge into your head. Like I said, if you want to make a point, educate yourself, and then start over.

Please expand on your extensive knowledge I would love to hear it.

Quote:How many times will I have to repeat this question before you decide to answer it? Compasses will also detect interference from a magnet the size of my pinkynail..but strangely, not my "aura".

The magnet and the compass share the same magnetic spectrum. How can you deny that matter exudes electromagnetism. Your argument is weak and your fighting your own ideology!

[/quote]

Even if I deny my belief in auras it does not refute anything else I have said

I would ask the same of you, with one modification. Bring something, anything.

Please handle the shortcomings of your own education on your own time.

My argument? I haven't seen anything even approaching what you just posted in this thread up to this point. That makes it your argument, and also a strawman, and since you seem to like fantasizing about this being a debate so much, I assume that would be important to you.

What is my ideology?

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

The argument on electromagnetism is the last and only point you can argue on. You have ignored the entire purpose of this thread specifically because I have answered your questions. If you have no further points to make then I see no point in debating with you.
The purpose of this debate is the argument for free choice from an atheist standpoint. Which you have detracted from. Your ideology is scientific materialism, is it not? Atheism is a materialist philosophy. I'm assuming you believe in the current scientific paradigms? If not then expand on your true ideology, because your staring to bore me.

If it's that pathetic, answer the question. And quit being so goddamn smug about it.

In addition to being poorly educated with regards to the workings of the human brain, and never having held a compass in his life, it's also completely apparent that he hasn't given this an ounce of thought. Someone recited an argument to him, and he regurgitated it here, without first checking to see if whoever that was completely douched him.

Sadly I think we're forced to conclude that we exist in a Universe in which no answer will be forthcoming.

Thanks; I do get 'em sometimes.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'
