I think I heard it from somewhere that those who make prophecies that are false are stoned to death?
Got a date for the end of the world yet, Truth? You'd better be right about it or it's the stoning for you.

I think we should stone all those who make false prophecies about the end of the world. I didn't make the prophecy. John of Patmos did back in 95ad. The scary thing is, How did he know the Euphrates river would dry up? And what are the odds of it actually happening?

No, but the bible did say these rivers will dry up. It didn't mention anything about climate change or pollution.

Given enough time, any river will dry up. Just because someone mentioned it 2000 years ago does not make it prophecy!
I expect it's dried up a few times in two millennia and will dry up several more in the next few.

Darwinian, you are tying to define Ecology to someone who can't think for themselves, much less read an actual book written in any form of technical information which have been proven or shown in today's world.
As long as he has his fairy tale book, then closed eyes, ears, and mind will be presented when discussing any other topic.

I'm not trying to sound ignorant or rude in any way, but if you can show me when was the last time the Euphrates ran dry, I would sure love to see it. It may have in the past, I'm not denying that, but I'm not aware of it.

The 'rapture' is good? Murder, torture, intolerance, bigotry, idiocy, redundancy, zealotry, and faith are good?
As for the river going dry in the past: i can't find any relevant things behind all of the religious sites saying 'yay'! and news sites saying 'omg'!

Modern man is baffled at how an ancient tribesman would understand how the Euphrates river would run dry. the Bible is an awesome piece of work.

I wonder if any Christian who believes this nonsense has thought about the many dams put up over the past 60 years from Turkey, Iraq and Syria????
Nah, a dam would have nothing to do with water levels falling or rising more rapidly than any decrease naturally made by rising temperatures etc.
