You are deliberately avoiding them and no-one is being fooled by it.
If you choose to cherrypick then you should be prepared to answer the inevitable questions about your "personal and unique" belief system as opposed to resorting to this rather blatant type of intellectual cowardice.
"In your opinion was it simply another sadistic execution or the relinquishing of a human beings life on the part of God to wash away the sins of mankind?"
Answer or retreat.
There you have it everyone. He has failed at every turn to give any kind of insight into his belief system. I leave it to the readers here to decide if it is because he lacking in the intellectual faculties required to respond to such a request, is lacking the courage to participate in any type of debate or has simply realised what he stands for is not worth defending.
Now he responds with a rather tired emoticon to compound his total retreat from questions he deems too uncomfortable to answer.
I rest my case satisfied I have shown this person for what he is; an intellectual coward. :-)

Seriously now, what's the title of the thread?

"Sacrifices are sick! Contradiction Alert!!!"
All this tells me is your moral opinion on sacrifice ingeneral and that the Bible contradicts itself numerous times about the subject.
Let me simplify it for you;
In your opinion was Jesus sacrificed or not?
This is a very simple question. Perhaps you do think sacrifices are sick and yes there are many contradictions but that has little baring on what events you think took place in the Bible and which you do not.
If you do not state which you do think took place then how is anyone to discern you from a bloated gasbag making alot of noise but sharing very little information?
For all we know your beliefs could be "unique and personal", we cannot know for sure because you do not share them when asked.

See, that wasn't hard now was it?
Your question was answered by your own admission (bolded above by me):
"In your opinion was it simply another sadistic execution or the relinquishing of a human beings life on the part of God to wash away the sins of mankind?" (you had the answer yet refused to admit it)
So your constant trolling ad-nauseum has been exposed.
Now, to answer your "new", properly formed question.
"In your opinion was Jesus sacrificed or not?"
No, but he was most likely crucified... (I added more detail to keep you from asking again)

I disagree, there isn't anything "most likely" in the narrative at all.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. So, you deny the existence of Pontius Pilate?

THIS is an answer. Ok? Do you get that now? The thread title isn't an answer. I can make assumptions based on it but that doesn't mean anything which is why I repeatedly asked you the question to get an *actual* answer. We don't work on assumptions here.
We could of saved about 3 pages if you had just shared this. My original question was basically the same only gave more explanation and description. Why this wasn't obvious to you I will never know. I can only assume you are new to this or just enjoy stalling.
But anyway, moving on.
Jesus himself is supposed to have claimed he is a sacrifice to redeem the sins of mankind.
Am I to take it that you believe such verses to be false then?

Who said anything about Pilate, I thought we were talking about the crucifixion of christ?
Hey, pro tip, did you know that London exists? I hereby propose, based on that, that Dracula did likely sex up and vamp up Lucy Westenra.

You'd have to be specific on that verse for me to answer.

Do you need me to state "Pontius Pilate most likely existed."???
Now, is your answer the same?

You'd have to be specific on that verse for me to answer. I present to you my first post on this thread.
(August 7, 2012 at 11:03 pm)RaphielDrake Wrote: I'm rather taken aback this hasn't already been brought up but according to various verses of the Bible Jesus gave himself up as penance for the sins of humanity and all that.
Just to give you a couple of verses from the King James Version;
Revelation 1:5
"And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood"
John 1:29
"The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world."
Romans 3:25
"Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;"
Whats your take on that then? Presumably you believe the crucifiction took place. In your opinion was it simply another sadistic execution or the relinquishing of a human beings life on the part of God to wash away the sins of mankind?
If the latter then what distinguishes that from the very definition of a human sacrifice?
This question is equally directed at Drich and Godschild as well as yourself.
After some deliberation you dismissed the question as "moronic" and did not respond to any of the quotes. Just saying.
(The question is still equally directed at Drich and Godschild by the way.)
