There are videos online of tea party crashers. Note that he said "leftists", not "the left wing". There is a big difference, just as there is a difference between "the far right" and "the right wing".

I'm not sure why anybody would waste energy trying to make the Tea Party look bad. If you just sit by and watch, they will do it themselves.

The distinction has been blurred at least in our parlance.

Back in my days of being a conservative Republican, "far left" meant "Communist", just as "far right" meant "fascist". That was back in the days when it seemed like our political discourse was a lot more grounded than today.

These days "far left" is bandied around to describe any liberal group, person or opinion. I don't even know what the adjective "far" in this context means anymore. What is "center left" or "moderate left"? And if liberal is the new "far left", as it seems to be from right wing rhetoric, what is Communist then, "Really really far left"?

Wow. I have to say I am shocked. I mean, make the Tea Party look more wacky, hateful and extreme than they already are? It seems like throwing a glass of water on a flood "to make it worse". Regardless, A-Theist's knee-jerk denial based on the bare assertion that it must have been a leftist infiltrator to be laughable. The existence of some guy with a blog calling for this very thing makes it slightly more plausible but without any evidence to back the assertion, it's still ridiculous.

I've always taken the word "leftist" to mean a die-hard supporter of left-wing values, even when shown how ridiculous and extreme they are. Much like the far-right will cling to extreme ideas that have no place in a modern society. Both use dishonest tactics to try and subvert the other.

As for evidence tea party crashers exist, simply go to google or YouTube and search for them. You'll find plenty of examples.
