So I had the rather unusual experience of actually attending a church service last year, and was immediately struck by how old everyone in it was. I mean really old. Most of them will be dead in 10 years. Religious affiliation in on the decline, but the actual hardcore religious, who attend church and give money to the churches will be gone in the United States within my lifetime. It's a great time.

I assume you are referring to the rise in Christianity in many parts of Africa and the developing world. I hate to burst your bubble, but while many Africans may claim to have converted to Christianity, they generally wouldn't fit your (Western) definition of "Christian". They often still practice their traditional, pagan religions in tandem with attending church. So while they may self-identify as Christian, they aren't, in many cases, actually Christian, rather they follow a hybrid religion. Pretty much the same is happening here in the UK. The average age of the people in the churches are older than the churches themselves.
