That 'disturbance' you spoke of comes from something not lining up with your sense of right and wrong. Now because your sense of right and wrong or 'righteousness' is different/seperate from the Righteousness of God it is identified as a personal or Self Righteousness.
This feeling of self righteousness is what i warned you of.
um...no.

I'm disturbed because you defend things you yourself would never do. You admit you find them morally wrong to do them yourself, correct? So your own sense of right and wrong also doesn't line up with Gods.

Also, since there is no God, your entire argument kind of reads like infantile gibberish to me. My 5-1/2 year old makes similar arguments for why the ghosts she sees in her room are real.

Lastly, thanks for proving my point about who's actually self righteous by not even taking the time to read the very short link I provided on what I actually believe, and instead putting words in my mouth. You make my point very well! But it's ok, I know it's just the way you are, you can't help it. Cool Shades

I do not celebrate rape, torture, slavery and genocide.
Neither does God.
Where these appear in the bible they ARE horrible and meant to be understood as horrible.

All violence in the bible is instigated by man and God intervenes only to punish and prevent it.

I dont celebrate ANY of those.
Game over. You lose.

Apparently the word refuting to the christards is simply saying, "Nuh-uh!"

Then follow that up with "You lose."

There is no afterlife... We just wink out. There is no evidence to support any idea of an afterlife or reincarnation. No one has ever made it back to tell the tale.
Is that a comforting thought? Not particularly. I can see where people need to believe in something beyond this life, because the thought of no longer existing is unpleasant and rather terrifying. However, the truth is there is zero evidence of our consciousness or a "soul" existing after our bodies die.

Absolutly not. My sense of morality is just as corrupt as your. The only difference between you and i is i do not default to my 'morality' as any type of standard to judge others (or not) Nor is it a standard to commit my life.
