What is "FAITH"
RE: What is "FAITH"
But we agree that a God would fit the description of what "good" is.

False. Careful inspection of biblical scripture conveys that god is anything but good.

You've never carefully inspected the Bible, so how could you possibly make such a statement?
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

I don't recall having ever agreed to that (in truth my opinion is about as far from any such agreement as it could possibly be). Further, it wouldn't matter if we did agree, we will have to provide a sound and valid explanation for such an agreement before we can claim that it (or the subject which it refers to) is "rooted in logic". That's the second time, btw, since we've met, that you've tried to peddle some easily checked bullshit about me or what I have or have not done. Get your shit together, because I'm tired of trying to get it together for you.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

This isn't a Bible argument. That is something that is being dealt with on another thread.

God exists because truth (logic) and goodness (morality) do. They are eternal, immutable, invisible, and universal. They do not need to be taught, but are wired into the brains of people everywhere. They bring the human race together and lead it to an origin that is beyond us all.

What description of "good" are you using?! Mine doesn't involve genocide.

Thank gawd for Christians who can consider the existence of gods apart from the bible. This shows some very healthy self-reliance rather than the eagerness for self abdication I usually encounter. Kudos to you sir. Kudos I say. I appreciate that so much I almost hesitate to ask, but how much weight do you give the bible in your understanding of how to live a good life? And, hypothetically, if you came to believe that the bible was not so much divinely dictated by God so much as it was a collection of bits early Christians found inspiring, would your faith in God survive?
