Separation the church and state begins with high level of liberal arts education amongst the electorate. It is a symptom of a civil and enlightened society. It can not make a society civil and enlightened that otherwise wasn't already so.

Would you say the U.S.A. was a "civil and enlightened society" in that far off 4th of July?

Relative to what?

The problem with Islamist remaining a part of the government is what we are experiencing in the US. A republican party that has become primarily anarchists and christians who are more than happy to sabotage the success of this country if they don't get their way.

I am not saying that they should get rid of the muslims as they are a large part of the society, but without education to counterbalance the ignorance taught by religious schools, they are just putting off the cultural wars of the future.

Removing Islam from government is a problem. Islam brings government guidance to the masses. The wannabe holybook has laws and code of conduct, which must be enforce to everyday followers. This blind faith cause more havoc in the Middle East than anything else. Leaders understand this tool and use it well.

First separation of religion and state government! Then some fucking Education on what the hell is make believe! Prosecuting people for practicing witchcraft is beyond retarded.

I have been thinking about the complexity of the what is going on in Egypt and Turkey. I know that the majority of the citizens of these countries are more critical of Shari'a law, as evidenced by the massive protests. Yet, the government of those countries have been trying to place more restrictions on their citizens. I find the protests promising, since the citizens seem to find the courage to protest. Yet, it is only with time that we will discover what Egypt's transitional governments will do. People and power are dangerous companions, especially if the people in power have big guns.

I have never agreed with Military coups, yet with some leaders, it is a necessary evil. I am just not sure if the people of Egypt are educated enough to make the break with the Muslim Brotherhood. Yet, I have seen that with the new Egyptian leadership has issued arrest warrants for members of the Muslim Brotherhood. Source: http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2013/07/04/mor...sman-says/

Both Egyptian and Turkish governments place restrictions on religious freedoms, so only time will tell if true religious freedom will be obtained.

How many centuries did it take the West to move from barbarism to enlightenment? Yet even now we have xtian shitballs who would love to have a theocracy so it relieved them of the burden of thinking.

There are no shortcuts for the muslims. The shit really needs to hit the fan over there until even they have had enough bloodshed much as the West reacted to the excesses of the Thirty Years War.

http://www.historydoctor.net/Advanced%20...rs_war.htm

Quote:The Thirty Years War was the last religious war in Europe, and was also the bloodiest war to affect the continent before the twentieth century. Over 200 states of varying sizes fought in the war; causing Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden to note that "all the wars of Europe are blended into one. It was marked by egregious atrocities and incalculable bloodshed. German cities lost a third of their population and the rural population was reduced by two fifths. The population of the Holy Roman Empire declined from 20 million to 16 million. Mainz, Germany lost twenty five percent of its buildings and forty percent of its population. Württemberg, a predominantly Protestant town, lost three quarters of its population.
