HERETIC.
..."mounting evidence" of water on other planets? Oh, really.
You'd better start up your space probe, and get your divining rod out.... because, besides "trace amounts of vapor & gas" water only exists on earth.
And there is no "clear reasons" how or why:

Jesus fucking CHRIST. You didn't even bother looking up water outside of Earth. Nor did you bother picking up an astronomy book ever, apparently.

LOL only exists on earth? I love sweeping statements that include places we have not even been to yet, like 99.999% of the universe...
Do you think the guy saying that knows that Mars has a ice cap on it? Or that the rover discovery has all but proved water was once I mars. The only thing that rover has not yet done is actually found liquid water to run over... While there may not be drinking water currently liquid on mars I don't think anyone but those most staunch skeptical astrophysicists would argue that was exists outside of the earth.
While this link is not 100% proof it sure is more than some guy saying he is smarter than every person who lives and has ever lived...

By the way the water on earth came from the same place hydrogen and uranium came from...the stars. They are everything that is and could one day be in some distant place. Don't think for a second that we have even found half of the base elements the universe is made from. We are just to young still to have gotten out there enough to actually see what is really in space for ourselves. Telescopes and rovers only get you so far.
Stars stars stars. All life started as stars. all elements started as stars. Big bang theories aside all human life is the result of a super nova event in the relatively short past cosmically.

Look... I appreciate your time and energy spent writing all this down for me.
But, the fact remains that its all theory.
And I should've clarified earlier that I meant the miracle is that water is here on earth in abundance. Not that it exsists at all.
But, the frustration of trying to prove a point that is based on theory is the point I'm making here.
I really don't give a rats posterior about theory until its law! Its fun to watch but could blow-up in your face at any moment.
Until then, you are in my position of arguing observations by men, and your passion about [believing] it true.
I'll take the atheists platform here: "There isn't enough evidence to convince me." When you can prove your point(s) beyond a shadow of a doubt, I'll believe you, and the scientific community."
But, this is just stuff written in books based on: observation, hypothosis, and theory. It NOT LAW... Yet. And no amount of you screaming and swearing at me will change that fact. Or prove your theory personally!
Sound familiar?

I already pointed to links and articles which proved your statement to be wrong.
but here's more
http://www.nasa.gov/topics/universe/feat...10722.html
Quote:Two teams of astronomers have discovered the largest and farthest reservoir of water ever detected in the universe. The water, equivalent to 140 trillion times all the water in the world's ocean, surrounds a huge, feeding black hole, called a quasar, more than 12 billion light-years away.
Quote: Hydrogen is the basic building material of the universe, created in the Big Bang. Oxygen is created by nuclear reactions in stars. If you put H and O together in the cold of space, you get H2O. There are enourmous amounts of water in space. In fact, nearly all of the oxygen in space is in the form of water or carbon monoxide. Similarly, most the carbon and nitrogen in space are also in their most hydorgenated forms: methane (CH4) and ammonia (NH3).

But I guess no amount of evidence will sway your blinkered mind, be happy in your self imposed delusion.

In science you are correct. Theory and law are two different things in science.
take from the site:
http://thehappyscientist.com/study-unit/...become-law
Laws tell us what happens.
Theories examine what happens and tell us how and why it happens.
Simple I know but it was better than my own words and very accurate.
yeah...

So, blatant shifting of the goalposts aside, as you have known to be true for several days now, and as downbeatplumb and I have reminded you today, there is a reservoir of water in space that is larger than Earth.
How do you account for ignoring this? Are you being ignorant, or a liar? I really can't see a third option, here.
Quote:I really don't give a rats posterior about theory until its law! Its fun to watch but could blow-up in your face at any moment.
And now you parade your ignorance of working science! Cool! Look up "scientific theory" once in a while, hmm? Or hey, how about this: do any research at all before you deem yourself educated enough to speak on these issues, okay?

The fact that you've said this after demonstrably ignoring real, observed facts posted against your claim just shows the monumental dishonesty you're employing to allow you to think you're being reasonable.

It's also important to note that they are not part of a hierarchy. Theories do not, and cannot become law, and vice versa. Robust scientific theories are considered scientific fact every bit as much as scientific law.
ronedee will continue to pretend that this isn't the case, of course.

wait wait wait, for your belief in god you use faith, which is by definition, believing in something with no evidence or evidence to the contrary. Yet for you to believe anything else you require absolute proof. Its like you are trying to be a hypocrite.
'The more I learn about people the more I like my dog'- Mark Twain
'You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.' - Dr House
“Young earth creationism is essentially the position that all of modern science, 90% of living scientists and 98% of living biologists, all major university biology departments, every major science journal, the American Academy of Sciences, and every major science organization in the world, are all wrong regarding the origins and development of life….but one particular tribe of uneducated, bronze aged, goat herders got it exactly right.” - Chuck Easttom
"If my good friend Doctor Gasparri speaks badly of my mother, he can expect to get punched.....You cannot provoke. You cannot insult the faith of others. You cannot make fun of the faith of others. There is a limit." - Pope Francis on freedom of speech
