You did not answer the question. What created your god?

How can you not understand this when you have obviously tried to at least read the basics of BBT. If you feel the need for a cause, why couldn't it be a purple elephant or unicorns? I'm going to give up on this now as it's like trying to explain defragging a HD to my nan!
I'm rather curious how many times he needs to repeat himself before he realizes what he's writing. One more time, Sword of Christ! Come on, you can do it.

Not gonna address anything I wrote to you in the other thread regarding this very argument?
I even granted the first premise. I just wanted you to stick with one definition of causation instead of changing it when you try to attribute the cause to God. Look- KCA: Everything that comes into being has a cause The universe came into being The universe has a cause Cool. This is what you change it to once you start trying to connect it to God: Everything that literally pops into being from nothingness is caused by God. The universe literally popped into being from nothingness. The universe was caused by God. The first premise affirms the consequent and begs the question. Please stop ignoring all the incredibly valid objections I continue to raise to this very old and silly argument. RE: Attn: Theists - What would it take to prove you wrong?

Come all ye faithful joyful and triumphant.

If God does exist, then you would be correct in saying this. But, you and I would still be taking this on faith, not logic. Because the idea of God (especially your idea of God) is not logical in the slightest. This omnipotent being that was never born or had a beginning, this omnipotent being that just is, this omnipotent being that controls everything, that is above all laws of physics, that you could never get any physical proof of because he is above us and our understanding. You realize why there are millions who dismiss this as silly? You realize how stupid and nonsensical it sounds? And your reason for believing in this silliness is because it's an answer. Because you couldn't handle the idea of the universe not having a beginning, or even with the Big Bang theory, you want to know what caused this big bang. So you fill the gaps in your knowledge with God. This is called intellectual laziness. "I don't know something." "God did it!" This form of thinking is what supressed scientific advancements for thousands of years. It's bad. ronedee Wrote:Science doesn't have a good explaination for water ![]() (August 27, 2013 at 4:02 pm)Sword of Christ Wrote: God isn't something that physically exists.
