So, to be clear: you came here to preach your gospel, without caring as to whether that preaching is at all convincing?

Xe's currently confused about that point, apparently.

No, not for a second. It's not me who saves anyone.

Your ability to miss the thrust of a post directed at you is astonishing. The question asked if your actions in coming on here actually put people off your faith have you not failed - worse than had you not come on here at all?

In other words YOU are reducing the chance of others being saved. I cannot imagine your God will be very pleased with you.

That's a remarkably low standard you set for yourself. Understandable, considering what you're peddling, though.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

I don't know why my message has been labelled spam? If I handed you a book, which I had written, and told you it was what I believe would you simply label it spam?

Hi.

Can I ask you a serious question? Not snark, no condescension intended, but something I'd really like you to answer...?

Here goes:

Do you honestly think there's anybody on this forum who hasn't heard all that before?

Do you really think that the reason most of us are professed atheists is because we've somehow managed to survive into adulthood without ever being told about Jesus?

Is it not more likely that we HAVE heard this story and concluded, for various reasons, that it's probably not true?

How then, by merely re-iterating it, do you expect to change our minds?

It's simple and it's true. It certainly isn't this thread

So much fun reading through this thread after being so disgusted with it early on. The complete emasculation of the Revalations guy in 4 posts was epic. Intelligence is great.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God" (2 Tim 3:1-4)

And the actions of some of the religious, in the name of their imaginary friend is disgusting.

And, of course, quoting your little book of myths at people who realise it IS a little book of myths is ridiculous.

What did you think we were, sheep? Of course we're classed with monkeys. Consult any comparative anatomy text you like and you'll find that our 'design' is most akin to monkeys. If you don't believe that is because of evolution you are welcome to believe that god was just monkeying around when he put us together.

We're descended from the common ancestor as apes. We're primates. Saying "we're descended from monkeys" is the straw man argument of someone who didn't pass high school biology.

Yet it is you coming in here spreading biblespam and playing the martyr card upon being called out on it.

Tell you what, I'll make you a deal. Your pet god wants to save us so badly? You get it to post here and convince us by itself, ok? Tell it we want the organ grinder, not his monkey. I promise here and now that I'll listen.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'
