Usually it is the other way around. On the youtube scene it is entirely overrun by atheist who use simplistic logic while the theists(primarily Muslim for me but sometimes Christians) just start quoting scripture and making basic fallacies on science and theology. To each their own I guess, I find him to be one of the better youtube atheists out there. He makes lots of great points if you can just get past some of his quirks.

Weren't what is labeled as the Dark Ages when the established Christian Church was at its weakest? I could have sworn it did not really re-gain power until after the invasion by the Moors.

If by weakest you mean the major political and economic power house. Holding more wealth than any other government or entity and able to mobilize a larger military force than anyone else at the time.

I see you fail at history just the same as you fail at logic. The Christian Church regained power (and then gained ever more power) when it was propped up to counter the threat of Islam in the 8th century CE.
