Evolution is not something you "take or leave". Our human behavior that leads us to gap fill and make bad claims is rooted in our evolution. It is not up to me. The evidence to flawed perceptions that lead to bad claims is in science. Not our personal labels or legal rights.
I don't need advice in saying the earth rotates around the sun either. Neil DeGrasse Tyson has said it before and it deserves repeating, "'The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it.'

Huh? The earth spins on its access and because of the gravity of the sun it orbits around the sun, and the solar system itself orbits around the center of the galaxy.

No. The "hammer" is scientific method. Religion is no more a tool than a kaleidoscope can replace a telescope.
Religion and faith are results of human's flawed perceptions. They are not tools. They are placebos.

Pedantic? You either don't know what pedantic means or are intentionally misusing it in an effort to avoid admitting you made a mistake. The word you should have used is revolves, not rotates. This is basic elementary school knowledge; hardly a pedantic...geez.

To be truly pedantic, the Sun and the Earth (along with the rest of the Solar System) orbit each other around the barycentre, the common centre of mass.
