An honest one.
You don't like democracy but you want to be consulted on decisions that might affect you which is potentially ALL decisions. Somewhat contradictory, no?
Stop right there...
don't make decisions for me please.....You just like arguing I feel..
whereas to me democracy fails in as much that you elect person A on promise Y and they deliver promise V
PS if you're about to post a reply and your response is going to be negative, improper, average, odd, obtuse, irrational, an argument, might change the focus, going off at a tangent or just mean ... go and find a maths forum to post on instead, they'll love you !!

There's no assumption about making a decision for you ( and I don't see how I could make a decision for you anyway - though making an assumption is quite possible).
Yes, we take a risk when we vote for people. But the only other options are some form of dictatorship or anarchy or to drop out of society completely.
If there are other options I'd be interested in knowing.

Would you prefer anarchy?
Anarchy still remains society. Isolation is the only way to get away from it all

Well please re-read my OP... I don't vote for the Un council rep, I vote for a local councillor
So how can I ensure my views are well represented on the UN council?

You can't. You never would be able to unless a pure democracy... which has the fun side benefit of mob rule.

You can't.
You vote for your representative/president. They appoint their representatives to the UN.
If I had my way the UN Human Rights commission wouldn't include countries like Saudi Arabia where women are little better than property, the UN security council would contain members more representative of the world as a whole, and there would be many other changes.
I, like the rest of us, don't have that sort of power. We just have to vote for our government representatives we hope will represent us the best and trust that they'll make the appointments to the UN who will not only help our nation but be able to make changes in the world.

Want to change things? Start a scare, and blow shit up. Only really works if you want them cracking down on their own people even harder...
Alternately, go viral, and manipulate the public. Alternately, assassinate prime targets whom you disagree with.
Good luck

Or, run for government.
Change from within.

No no, don't do that. Only place you're gonna have an effect is local governments. Everything higher is won by lobbying. You don't have a sponsor.
