Radiometric dating methods have produced literally thousands of dates for events in Earth's history. Rock succeeding 3.5 billion years in age are found on all continents. Earths oldest rocks so far may be as old as 4.28 billion years. Discovered in northern Quebec Canada and on the shores of Hudson Bay these rocks may be remnants of earths earlier crust.
