Slavery and eating animals

Slavery- Denies a human being the right to freedom.
Eating animals- Denies an animal the right to life.
Slavery- was practiced in the world in the time of Jesus.
Eating animals - was practiced in the world in the time of Jesus.
Slavery-Jesus acknowledged it exists
Eating animals- Jesus had the passover feast.
Slavery- took the horrid form of roman/European slavery.
Eating animals - Took the horrid form of factory farms.
Slavery- All but a few are against.
Eating animals- all but a few are for.
Slavery- was accepted from the beginning of written history.
Eating animals - Abbatoirs make most meat at present
Slavery - Most are against because many saw the Atlantic slave trade was cruel.
Eating animals - Some are against because they see factory farms are cruel.
Slavery - when enough people saw the evil they quit it. (Or they didn't want slaves anymore)
Eating animals - when enough people will see the evil they will quit it. (Or maybe they won't because THEY like it.)
Slavery- Jesus asked them to respect their neighbors/slaves so their suffering would minimalize.
Eating animals - Animal activists ask us to quit factory farming and kill them swiftly so their suffering would minimalize.
Slavery- After a few centuries, they didn't listen to him.
Eating animals-We don't listen to them even now!
Slavery- continued after a gap of a few centuries.
Eating animals - never stopped
What atheists say now- Jesus was evil he supported slavery!
What atheists will say then- Jesus was evil he killed and ate animals!
So people- we interpret, curse or praise as per what WE want in our greediness.
As we don't find eating animals wrong now so did slave owners think then. Future generations will condemn us as we condemn our past generations.
Therefore I feel that saying Jesus supported slavery is like saying activists who ask us to kill swiftly support animal killing

You believe Jesus was the friggin son of God, right?
And he came to earth in this function to lay down the rules that would be binding for us until Judgment day, right? And in doing so, you seriously try to tell us that he had to pander to the middle eastern business people and slave owners of his day, and the best he, the great divine socialist revolutionary who kicked the money changers out of the temple and proceeded to die for the cause, the best he could do was to ask the powers that be to maybe beat the slaves a bit less?

And he apparently had no problem going and telling people to follow such idiotic rules as "Don't work on this particular day" and "Don't eat shellfish" and getting them to listen to him, but this one rule that would actually help people, then suddenly he's all shy and doesn't want to bother people?

Truthfully I think it's best not care either way.
Every conclusion is "therefore jesus!" So I'd prefer to see an awesome story about rainbows and unicorns instead of something so dull if the result is always the same.

He did not tell people to follow those rules. On the contrary, he did something unlawful on sabbath and we can eat anything we want.
The only rules he gave were about loving humans and god

The only rules he gave were about loving humans and god This is your convenient interpretation. Most people nowadays reduce Jesus just enough to make him compatible with their own lifestyle. How nice how that works out.
And I suppose slavery qualifies as "loving humans"? Hmmm....

No. Sucks to be the goat, but if he didn't sadistically torture it to death before, I wouldn't call him a monster. But that's if I take him as an ordinary human. If he is son of God or even God, he is a monster, but not only for killing a goat, but for all the rest.
I'm not a fan of kosher slaughtering practices though.
