If I were an Atheist
#11
RE: If I were an Atheist
Atheism is the belief that this universe was created by Entropy and Chaos. That magically some atoms came together and formed the big bang - and everything syncronize that happened afterwards was just coincidence.

Agnostics: Believe in the chance that this universe was created by intelligent design (possibly by other mortal beings) but to us they are gods since they are probably so intellegent that they see everything and anything you do (like a god does).

Theists : believe in same thing as agnostics except they think this universe was created by the source (the original GOD) and that we were NOT SEEDED.

No, atheism as is accepted generally today is a lack of belief in any deity whatsoever. That's it.

Deism resonates with me now, more than theism.

You became a Deist? That's okay, Deism is cool in my book.

But hey, different strokes, clearly.

Atheism will never catch on or grow really. Atheism is generally for middle class or higher westerners, and generally for white people.

Atheism could never catch on in SouthAmerica, Africa, Oriental Countries, India or even Russia.

The reason is atheism is all about hating other religions. And therefore when a theist argues with an atheist, it becomes a pissing argument. All that happened now is the theist is more commited to his believe and the atheist is more angry at theists.

Meanwhile Islam continues to grow in numbers, as does christianity and many other religions.

Atheism is a niche market, kinda like the hipster liberal movement. It's the cool thing to be in the 21st century - but in the big scheme of things (we're talking about milleniums" - theism is KING! Not even science can compete against it, in fact science will likely buckle and try to prove that GOD exists centuries from now (due to pressures by theists).

That's good. Smile

What's rather cool about it is that it's about reason and not about religion.

Well to me the important thing has always been religion, not actually belief. When someone becomes religious they subject themselves to group think. Deism doesn't do that, nor agnostics.

I think it's cool that this group of Christians were kind enough to drive traffic to this forum.
