Suppose in a previous life you kill or you commit any crime and the cops never got hold of you.
Would you really think that you can get away with that in this life or maybe you think that we live only once so if we do something wrong and the cops don't get us we are just lucky?

How do you know that he wasn't used as an agent of the cosmos to inflict suffering on someone who had done wicked things in their own previous life? Or is it that your version of the universe is one big cycle of suffering because god sucks at administering justice?

I may well be 100% wrong and you 100% correct.
I however follow what make sense while you are following fantasies.
If you try to hammer a nail somewhere and you miss the target by hitting your finger you are bound to suffer.
So nothing really to do with God.
You screw it up and you suffer.

I dunno, but past lives are hokum. Sure, it sucks that there is no "cosmic justice" but pretending it all sorts itself out in other lives is pure fantasy. And very dangerous thinking if it leads to blaming people for being a victim or getting ill.

By recreate the same circumstances in which the action took place and therefore getting rid of the burden.
