I however follow what make sense while you are following fantasies. If you try to hammer a nail somewhere and you miss the target by hitting your finger you are bound to suffer. So nothing really to do with God. You screw it up and you suffer. As simple as this.

I dunno, but past lives are hokum. Sure, it sucks that there is no "cosmic justice" but pretending it all sorts itself out in other lives is pure fantasy. And very dangerous thinking if it leads to blaming people for being a victim or getting ill.
