Can I request a temp Ban for a month?

RE: Can I request a temp Ban for a month?
Heywood, what is the purpose of having a public thread instead of a private message? If you just want to announce to everyone that you're leaving of your own free will, WE HAVE A THREAD FOR THAT.

No need to double up on threads that way, except of course to feed people's sense of martyrdom.

If you're smart enough to do that, you're smart enough to log out of this website and not access it for six months. Don't measure becca by your yardstick, since she clearly doesn't need to leave here to get and keep her shit together.

Well, if you can't see a downside...

Rolleyes

You yourself admitted you could not abstain for six months.  Good thing you're not working on a dissertation

Uh... no I didn't.  I see your reading comprehension didn't improve in your absence.

Heywood, if you hadn't wasted all this time fruitlessly arguing for a temp ban and actually, you know, not posted instead, you would have got what you said you wanted in the first place.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

I never argued for a temp ban.  I requested a temp ban.  I was denied.  I abstained from the forum as suggested and now I am arguing that this forum should allow temp bans for people who request them.

Sorry you are correct.  You simply implied that you might not be able to abstain for six months.  You never made an absolute statement that you couldn't abstain for six months.

And now you want to argue - your words - for the merits of requesting a temp ban. Which is what I said.

Nope; I didn't even imply it.

Good thing you're not writing a dissertation, huh?

Your initial question was answered on the first page.  Yeah, and actually that last question has been answered as well.

"We aren't interested in doing that."

You knowing that isn't going to assist you at all in changing a no to a yes, so I really don't see the point in further inquiry into the matter.

Oh wait, it's you.  You can't help but be an annoying fuck.

You're smart enough to know that "We aren't interested in doing that" doesn't answer the question "What is the downside of having a ban me thread?".  You should just lock this thread if you don't want this discussion to take place.

Except that you did imply it.

This isn't about anyone except you, Heywood. Stop dragging rexbecca into this.
