Daughter objects to prayers at school

RE: Daughter objects to prayers at school
Good. Smart kid you got!

And it's infuriating that an educational institution makes children pray. Ffs, that's what churches are for -_-

Well at least the children would be a lot safer praying at school than at the churches Undecided

Never the less, one would be better off just denouncing that shit to the TV.

I'm a law student, so I know how to speed court decisions really fast, if you ever need help contact me Tongue

And even if we had to wait, it would be worth it just to see the face of religious apologists listening to someone who actually knows the law saying how secularism in public school is important.

Very well, present a thesis on how they payed a fuckton of money to the pope to come here. In this retched corner of europe? For all I care about in people I interact, religion isn't a problem. Education & economy are.

So, got to meet the daughters teacher early. Just been down to set up a tent for a school camping night and he made a point of introducing himself.

Said that he had read the email I sent and he thought it was excellent and that he shares the same views as me. Result! I thanked him and said my daughter is in good hands for the camping night. It just gets better and better.

That's awesome! Good job Smile

Maybe you've given him and the school some momentum for slowly getting rid of this nonsense.

Well legally the State can pay for any event that is socially important, whether it is a football world cup, the Pope's visit or a sex orgy event - It doesn't matter, the State can subsidize what is important to citizens or at least to the majority of them.

I think it's very cool that your child felt uncomfortable enough to say something and comfortable enough to come to you. When I went to my parents with "I'm atheist" they we don't understand but fine. Just don't let it get out. We can't be embarrassed in front of the rest of the community.

Bold mine. When did this happened? Big Grin

You already sound like a lawyer. Kudos on going after what you have a knack for.
