The problem: afterlife. Who doesn't desire it?
The solution: believe in me, or suffer the afterlife penalty.

Prove to us that your religion (whichever it may be) does not fall in this category.

One of the red flags is that, despite the fact that you will exist for eternity, and less than a hundred years will eventually be as a microsecond, you are somehow forced to choose a god on faith within that tiny window. Afterwards it's too late.

Seriously, there's nothing i can do over the course of an eternity to make of for genuine misdeeds on earth? and I mean misDEEDS. Not thoughts. Or any other ridiculous thing like telling same sex adults they're not allowed to make love to each other.

They violate forum policy that applies to all then try to claim they are being martyred. They start battles that they have no intention of fighting fairly (as has already been made apparent by the complete lack of reaction to explanations of why a priori  arguments are useless), and they just keep slashing away with their imaginary Sword of Truth™ while holding up their Shield of Faiht™ against any replies, just long enough to grab a snippet out of the work we do in replying to their voluminous copypasta, to take it out of context and fling back at us. They are the most annoying human beings I can imagine.

These people are making me seriously reconsider my recent decision to roll up a Paladin for my Pathfinder group.

More like Brave Sir Robin...

In any case the list of arguments is amply dealt with in The God Delusion.

No answer to my question.

It's quite simple. Why should I care if there is a god? Surely you can answer this in your own words.

If there's no reason, why bother with all this?

The problem with arguing with the accuracy of the Bible is that anything inaccurate will either be claimed as either Allegory or Metaphor. When you can dismiss inaccuracies of the bible with either of those two words, then it's impossible to argue. It would be one thing if the allegory or metaphors weren't arbitrary. And that's the problem. You can point to anything and say "That's just a metaphor/allegory". At which point the question must be asked: "Why isn't it all just allegory?"

This ones priceless. Not only is it a strawman, but it's a bit too wordy for a Christian's liking. Lets see if we can reduce it some: Magic. There we go. Now pay me money so you don't go to hell.

Also, are you aware that Dr. House there is an atheist? Or was that your point?

For the win!

He was extra squishy.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

That's true.  It is just a banning offense.  But I'm sure you came here to martyr yourself, not make a new internet home.
