Homosexual women are fine with me, as they will have sex with me. But homosexual men and straight women absolutely must make an exception in their rulebook for me if they wish for me to respect them as a normal human with any sort of libido

Indeed.

Godschild chooses answer #4 Other:
Gays have the same rights as anyone else does, yes to me they are weird, I do not understand them now nor did I understand before I became a christian. It does not seem natural to me and I do agree with what scripture says because I believe God knows how He feels about gays. I'm not like a lot of christians who would deny gays their rights in our society, who am I to say how they should live, I do not know of a place in scripture that gives me the right to condem them or anyone else for that matter. I will say that I do not believe they have the right to marry, it goes against how God feels about that sort of thing. As you can read I'm not pro-gay, but I do not hate gays either, they are human beings created by God and in that I care about them as people, I don't know if any of this makes sence or not but I tried to explain.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

My choice isn't there. Medical science has proved very reliable that body chemistry has a huge deal to do with what we find attractive and several other bioloical difference. I think it still falls short of declaring our orientation when we're born. There are ex-gays and poseur gays. My opinion is that just like nature and nurture, it's both. You can't say it's not a decision, and you can't say it's all decided. For everything else, I disagree with choosing anything counter to who you really are. If you're confident you know who you are and are true to that, great. I also think everyone deserves some basic rights as min stated.

You certainly have a right to think that homosexuality is "weird and unnatural". No one should fault you for that.
And I guess I can award you one point for not openly hating gays.
However, you've got several contradictory ideas in here.
#1 You say you do agree with scripture and that God knows how He feels about gays, but than you follow that up with: I do not know of a place in scripture that gives me the right to condemn them.
Hmmm, I know of one. Can someone throw G-C a chapter and verse please.
#2 If God knows how He feels about gays --- see above reference --- than explain why you wrote: ...they are human beings created by God. You see the contradiction don't you??
#3 You write: I'm not like a lot of christians who would deny gays their rights in our society, but than you follow that up with this: I will say that I do not believe they have the right to marry, it goes against how God feels about that sort of thing
I'm hoping you can plainly see why I broke down this highly contradictory post of yours.
I would have accepted your vote and not said a word if you had just elected number 2 as your vote in the poll. I kinda figured that's the way you were going to vote anyway.

I will caveat what I said with one thought. Religion (ie. prayer in this case) shouldn't be about repression or self-condemnation, but release and freedom.

I passed this one earlier in my bible.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 - "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."
I am assuming that denial of entry to the kingdom of God pretty much means you are damned.
And to follow up with another from leviticus:
Leviticus 20:13 - "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads".
But of course you don't know of a place in scripture that condemns them, so I suppose this does not matter then.

It is interesting how this particular community of christian leaders uses self-loathing as a tool for betterment rather than condemning it.
To go ahead and tell god to change you into something else would seem rather presumptive to me. As if god did not cook you properly and you're sending the order back to the chef. That's likely a bad analogy, but you probably get my point.
I think whats most annoying about this whole idea however is once again the uber-religious crowd rejecting the findings of a unified medical community and going about "fixing" the gays anyway.
How horrible that must be for them. Imagine, if someone told you or I, "from now on - we want you to be attracted to men." Difficult, would be a HUGE understatement.
{on a tiny tiny nit-pick tack, I don't think I've ever heard caveat used as a verb ... just an observation}
