I'd pick either Eric Church
or Parker Millsap
or Sturgill Simpson
(And, honestly, if we were going to stick to albums that actually got nominated for Album of the Year at the Grammys, I'd say Sailor's Guide to Earth deserved the title better than either Adele or Beyonce's new albums)

Austin city limits always seems to have good shit.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I certainly don't think Americans invented violence, but you sure love the phrase "war on..."
Also, your murder rate is way higher than any other first world nation, so there is that.

Could be because we have a larger diversity of people.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Or because we're the result of generations of the outcasts of every other country rutting, latching on to religious fundamentalism, and enshrining the ability to use lethal weapons as a basic human right.

We particularly enjoy using the phrase when the thing being referred to is absolutely not a war..and, conversely, we like to call wars anything but "war"...so, I can understand the confusion.
OFC it;s higher. USA#1.... at everything, somehow...slackers.

Only one in 10 Southerners owned more than 10 slaves. Most of the remaining 90% didn't own any.
I already addressed this in an earlier post please stop assuming my posts are made isolation

I'm pretty sure most murders here are not religiously motivated, but figured it was a matter of time before someone blamed religion in America for it.

Honestly, when I brought up religious fundamentalism, I chose it as possibly the clearest manifestation of a larger underlying problem: a sense that "I reject your reality and substitute my own" with an alarming vehemence and a strong desire to force that view on everyone else that it could seriously be taken for mental illness if the DSM didn't strictly proscribe diagnosing people with mental problems that were part and parcel of a larger culture. I suppose Trump and the Stavrogins on the alt-right may be a bit clearer an example at this point, but I strongly suspect they might not have that long of a shelf life.
