Yes, you did. My point is that it is impossible to "prove" to me that ultraviolet exists by showing some to me, because it is impossible for any of my sensory organs to detect it. However, this doesn't make me believe that it doesn't exist.

By carefully explaining it to them. Just because someone cannot perceive something does not mean they can't understand that it exists. I am colorblind and cannot see as many colors as you can, yet I am fully aware that colors exist outside of my perception.

Well, part of it has to do with my inability to function properly in certain situations. For example, I have stopped at blinking yellow lights before, because at night it is difficult to determine the position of the lights. If my perception was correct in this regard then the system of traffic lights would fail at night. Mostly it comes from from repetively being told by everyone that I am wrong about colors, so I am either colorblind, or it is the world's greatest conspiracy.

No they aren't. You can't hear the majority of sounds around you, but we can measure them. They have a very real effect, and a very real cause. Same with light friend. You could explain light to someone who was blind by speaking the formula that determines the properties of whatever light you're referring to. They could even read about it themselves in braile. Bet I can find you a blind physicist. Try again.
