Which is the cause, which the effect: religious fundamentalism <=> brain impairment

RE: Which is the cause, which the effect: religious fundamentalism <=> brain impairment
And if it turns out that being gay has a neurological basis then a therapy should be applied to those afflicted?

I'm not a fan of fundamentalist thinking of any stripe including the atheistic kind, but these kinds of self serving studies disturb me

My father is a Pentecostal preacher and a YEC. I guarantee I have more brain damage than him.

It already was, until it was adequately rectified in the DSM.

Being gay does not involve the denial of the real World.

If being a swedenborgian has a neurological basis then a therapy should be applied to those afflicted?

Listen, moron, every behavior has some neurological basis. Any ultimate Justification for imposing behavior modification could therefore never comes from the neurological basis of the behavior but must always through explicit or implicit appeal to the social implication of the behavior. There is much more social justification to eradicating Christianity than homosexuality.

I'd say that you two are evidence of the brain's resilience in the face of trauma.

  Bold by me.
There is no way that's even close to the truth, Christianity reaches around the world to help many afflicted peoples and I do not see that in the homosexual community, I'm not posting against homosexuals this is in defense of Christianity and the good work done for others.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Fundamentalist Christianity has caused suffering to many LGBTQ people. Even the Nazis built roads and infrastructure; does not one iota excuse their monstrosities.

Good work?   Christianity reached around the world and killed 100 million native Americans and enslaved every survivor within reach in an effort to enrich Christians in the name of proselytizing for jesus.

For 1600 years Christianity had imposed a disgracefully indolent world view upon the world by promogating a fictional afterlife that could only be attained by becoming an mental sheep for the slaughter in this, the only demonstrable, life, and had suppressed real exploration of reality on the pain of death, which it freely meted out to protect the position in society it had taken through fraud and violence.

Christianity has habitually accepted any moral transgression and and wantonly disparaged any moral virtue in the service of its own aggrandizement, as your fellows are doing now in their stance on the orange haired baboon in the White House.

At most, Christianity offer to feed a few in return of the burial of their soul in the putrid slime of Bronze Age make-belief calculated in aggrandize the most disreputable character in human society, but only if those who are thus fed help it bury more soul to further aggrandize Christianity in the world.

So good work my ass.
