What beliefs would we consider reasonable for a self proclaimed Christian to hold?

Rebuttal?

I have done extensive research on NDEs. I have talked with people who have had them, read close to 100 books, and gone to IANDS meetings. People who have had full blown NDEs have made drastic changes in their lives. There are people are either afraid of or not interested in NDEs.

Nothing in this quote leads to supernatural truths. Religious people of various stripes do all that. They attend meetings and read books on whatever religious topics they happen to be interested in, and have their lives changed as a result. So what?

Hell, even secular people have made drastic changes in their lives.

You mean ID vs happenstance? At least ID is logical.

Yeah, that magical being who somehow exists beyond the constraints of logical existence and magically molds things out of "nothing" at all. Yeah, that's sooo logical.

I have read some stuff from NDE research sites. I just don't see anything compelling about them. They're products of human psychology, not supernatural experiences. You've had vivid dreams, no? Do you attribute them to God just because they contain vivid details?

Then that lends more credence to naturalistic explanations rather than supernatural ones, and therefore the naturalistic ones are more reasonable to hold to than the latter. If you're interested, look up Bayesian reasoning.

As more and more people have NDEs and tell about them, more doctors and researchers are understanding the importance of the research that is being done.

And so far, nothing that lends much credence to supernatural explanations. There is nothing supernatural about "more doctors and researchers understanding the importance of the research that is being done".

Miracles always seem impossible to those who do not understand the science behind them. If air was opaque we would all be in the dark.

Huh, you're not making much sense? How are you able to mix miracles with science? Is there a science behind creatio ex nihilo? Please, do tell.

It will be a great day once there is proof that the spirit can and does leave the body.

It will also be a great day once there is proof that there is indeed a flying teapot in outer space!

Are you now conceding you have nothing to bring forth to the table that would imply supernatural truths?

People tend to believe in creatio ex nihilo even though there is no mention of it in the Bible. I believe that matter has always existed. I also believe that there are those who can control matter.

The evidence is there for those who look for it.
