That blame is the most important in thing in understanding islamophobia.
Maybe most of the bad conditions the Middle East is going through, is due to western support of chaos and dictators. It's not me who said that; but the telegraph.co.uk :
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldne...chaos.html
And the Guardian:
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...ism-saddam
The foreign policy of the west butchered the Middle East, it didn't just kill it. Experts have warned for decades that the constant intervention of the U.S and western governments is creating massive shock wave, look at the immigration crisis: every Arab I know wants to run away from the Middle East, if you are arrested you are dead, the west lied when it promised Iraqies independence and peace.
It all makes sense: we were Ottomans once. We are a defeated nation, and the west was the winner. Why should the general direction of the movement of western secular politics be in the favor of "ex enemies" ? Most of the islamophobia of today is a continuation of what happened in WW1. Personally; Muslims are a second class humans today, and they will never be accepted until they change. For me, the oppression makes me more Muslim. But it makes some others terrorists.
Here is my point. Maybe it's not Islam? Even in the U.S there are psychos who kill without a reason. Maybe the American invasions, that all experts warned from, is the cause?
Of course that is limited to government. The normal everyday westerner is a human just like me, some are dicks, some are nice, some are crazy, some are very sane...etc.

not trying to be negative here but how can you even call yourself muslim but reject majority of the religion? are you saying the billions of muslims around the world have it wrong and you have it right?
as an atheist i prefer your version obviously, but it isnt islam. and i know you'll probably quote some random quran verse as you always do, but please dont, it isnt necessary. but i would like an answer to this question:
Are the millions of muslims around the world wrong and do you have the correct version of islam? are yoy the only muslim on the world then?

To be fair though, the west does need to take a fair share of the blame. It will stop meddling once the oil runs out. At least Britain and America. I don't know if Europe meddles.

Probably not. We have allies and interests in the region beyond oil. We only import a quarter of it, and of that quarter 40% is from canada, 21% is from central and south america, and 11% is from saudi arabia. The rest is a grab bag of suppliers. We get about as much from africa nowadays as the middle east.
This last round of conflicts had jack shit to do with oil. Though the war for oil narrative was just as a good a cover as anything else. It;s even got our resident ayatollah convinced, lol.
@Atlass.

Ultimately, the caliphate crumbled because "The West" refused to protect it in turkeys war of independence that would roll off the back of ww1 and continue until 1924.
It;s almost like you don;t have to invade the caliphate to get them to shoot at each other and other people, or something.

WW1?!
Like.... the one that ended in 1918?... one hundred years ago?!!
I know there might have been some domino effect, but the blame of today's actions lies in today's actors.
Everyone is free to act in a way that perpetuates feelings of animosity.... but they are also free to change those feelings and just don't.... just treat everyone around them like fellow human beings.
But of course the rich and powerful will always influence the bottom half of the population so that they perpetuate their leaders' power... why do the difficult thing and convince the more informed and intelligent half of the population, when it's so easy to let the other half keep those pesky intellectuals under wraps and keep you in charge?
Yes, the "west" has meddled with the Middle-East... The US meddles with everything, everywhere... So does China, nowadays... and it seems that Russia has been meddling for a long while, too.
The rest of the world, somehow, copes.
Own your shit.

The caliphate had been meddling in "the wests" affairs for centuries. Their military expansion and political ratfucking was an existential threat. This contributed to immense internal conflict in the west and eventually lead to western cristendom responding by exploiting peoples faith and launching a series of holy wars. Sound familiar?
Ya don;t see me blaming muslims...or turkey, or the middle east, broadly.... for the fucking darks ages..though, lol.

Why not? maybe the billions around the world do have it wrong; and that's why they are in the hole that they're in now.
For every Islamic region you visit, you find weak people ruled by dictators and having a society so filled with tribalism. Of course they have it wrong; they don't look like people who got it right.
Islam is not what the institution says it is: who authorized Shiite or Sunni scholars (or even me) to hold the truth? each of us believe in something; let's die serving our goals; and see what happens later on.
No; I won't quote and I didn't intend to; my above text is a mere innate capacity dictated by the nature of life. If you don't want me to quote Quranic verses you can just tell me (just like you did above); and I'll listen. But I'll keep doing it in public places (like this forum), because I can; obviously. But I assure you: they are not directed to you.
Yes; I think -notice the word think- that I believe in the original faith. Also I have what made me think so; and that's mainly why I quote Quranic verses so often.

Oil is the gateway for the western heavy intervention in Iraq and Arabia. But even in old times -as early as the crusades- the natural resources of the Levant, Iraq and Egypt brought forth the invasions and kept them going.

"Atheists" are considered "the outside". Also; this forum is full of non-Middle Eastern people -perhaps the majority; even-. So; that's pretty much "outsiders".

There are no "allies" strong enough to gain their favor in the region. Caring about allies is only taken into consideration by a secular government to gain interest back to the people under that government. The only interest I see for a western state to become allies with an Arab state, is oil and money.
11% is a big number in economy, you can picture what a city like New York would lose if 11% of the countrey's oil is gone. Moreover; you can count how many companies would close, yes America will not fall, but it will be damaged for a while.
Still; Saudies don't have the guts to commence such move, they don't even manufacture their own headscarfs. But anyways, oil is essential to the foreign policy of America that survives on the bloodsucking from other countries; no offense but the muscles of the marines directed Saddam Hussain to the rope when he didn't like the deal and wanted more.

I won't mention the centuries Ottomans spent ramming western & Russian armies in. Entering WW1 was a mistake and it came in a time the Ottoman Empire was "the old man of Europe"; defeating Ottomans wasn't an honor; it was a meant to happen. It was one of the weakest states in the world by that time; Russia didn't defeat the Ottomans of old.
When you're that weak, and so ignorant to the degree of banning typewriters because they are "haram"; then expect to be defeated by Russians in the North, and nomads in the south.

If your parents are poor, and instead of feeding you milk as a child they fed you swamp water, then it is their fault that you have rickets.
Arabia of today was drawn on the map by the west:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sykes%E2%8..._Agreement
Do you see this disgusting map, of a "Jewish state", surrounded by Muslim states? Yes; the west did that.
So it's not a mere "domino effect". It is the effect of eternal war itself. Somebody drew that map to keep a reason for himself to comeback later and intervene under the excuse of "protecting Jews from Muslims".
And if people want to revolt, they get shot down. Tortured, imprisoned, killed, whatever keeps them silent.
China and Russia intervene because they so a cake; and now they want a share of it. The result is what you see in Syria.
