Yes, but they need to have a vote that involves a majority of their population. They may like having their own identity in that way. However, I do think that no matter any vote, they should always be given the same consideration as the rest of the United States in terms of emergency response and protection. They should have all the same rights and protections under the Constitution, etc. (Real and actual, not ostensible.)
I do often joke that I like the nice round number, but I don't actually care. They should get whatever they want on the matter one way or another because they're Americans.
Yes! The only assholes whom object to it are stuck on the current American flag pattern. And those whom object to it are asshole bigots.
