Yes, the pervasiveness of the lion in media, even in hugely Christian cultures, is one of the very strange aspects of this all. It does fit perfectly with the idea that a change has been made.

I would normally conclude fairly quickly that this kind of thing is down to memory error, but something about this is rather more bizarre. I haven’t even talked at length about all the other really weird things going on in the KJV which would require explanation.
