My AR-15 took 6 deer this season. It's design allows even my 110 lbs sister to comfortably fire it.
Let's go through your posessions - and we will see how much you "need" those...
.....
Snd I see you didn't address the OP...
You just trotted out some kids.....
And ones that haf nothing to do with this rally...
Boru’s post had everything to do with the OP. The point is the rally is stupid and unnecessary in the first place. As far as your “experiment” goes, one question is: can it be repeated? What if we repeated this experiment twelve times, and nine out of the twelve times a person from the “gun” group shot someone? Data of that nature paints a completely different picture, doesn’t it? You haven’t proved anything, and your grasp on how researchers collect and analyze data is rather tenuous if you think it does.
Absolutely.
Gun shows in Michigan routinely have between 10 and 20,000 people go through them.
While you are not supposed to carry in a gun show - it's common knowledge that at least half the people there are carrying. Not to mention that there are guns and ammo EVERYWHERE...if somebody decided to kill some people - it would happen.
There is over a 100 shows a year at different venues - and the have been going on for over 75 years.
There has never been an incident to my knowledge - and I have asked.
This wasn't the exception.
It's the rule.

Example fallacy sill

False conclusion that's not replication

Same problem

The broad category is an exception.

Who expects a gun show to turn into a shootout? What does the fact that they don't have to do with public safety declarations backed by law enforcement intel?

According to the article, the three proposed laws are universal background checks, banning military-style rifles, and temporarily removing guns from the possession of people determined to be a danger to themselves or others.
If you’re law abiding, you won’t have any trouble passing a background check.
If you’re law abiding, why do you need a military type weapon (to be fair, the article wasn’t specific about what this would entail)?
If you’re law abiding, how do you reasonably object to taking guns away from someone who posted about shooting up a school?
Boru Your definition of "military type weapon" is way too loose for any gun owner.

1. I didn’t define ‘military type weapon’. I took exception to the article for not defining it.
2. I did address the OP.
3. I never mentioned kids.

I'm sure that he does. I'm entirely certain that OLB is fully cognizant of how he shits the bed. I just don't understand why he would.
Where did you want to go with the above? Comparing a hypothetical gunshow shootout with an act of terrorism that no one expected, which ended up happening, and then claimed hundreds of thousands of lives, all told?

The whole argument about car accidents is so disingenuous. It's like the argument that vending machines are more dangerous than Sharks. Its technically true that more people are killed by vending machines than sharks. But it's only because people interact with vending machines more often, and vending machines serve a purpose that people actually interact with on a daily basis.
Also kind of funny how the pro-gun politicians never seem to forego security and just pick up an AR-15 themselves! Not to mention refusing to allow armed people coming into their events. Even the NRA! Gee I wonder why that is.
