One clear, precise prophecy of Muhammad.. among many
#41
RE: One clear, precise prophecy of Muhammad.. among many
And we're back to ad hoc objections again.

The hadith doesn't say construction workers should be bare feet. The labels (naked, destitute, barefoot, camel, shepherds) only refer to a geographical area with arid climate, the Arabian peninsula matches the description.

The hadith doesn't say they would be the first ones to build tall buildings.

It doesn't say people now in Saudi Arabia and such would be naked.

So stop the strawmans and deal with the facts: Muhammad does get it right, every time.

The tower of Babel is referred to in the book of Genesis, not in the Qur'an or anywhere in Islamic literature. Who is embarassing himself in an islam topic now?

I am still waiting for the lies you think Muhammad told his companions around campfire.

Few clothes?

Oh please.. boy. Don't you think their clothes would've been a bit different fourteen centuries ago..?  Because their clothes back then are what matters, Muhammad's companions, again, wouldn't have a clue of what he's talking about if he described to them the picture above.
1. Thought this was suppose to be about the future and seriously could have said people wore more clothes or simply described what they were wearing or just said it would be different . It amazes me you praise people of this age as smart but can't see them understanding the concept that people different age would wear different clothes , And the clothing doesn't seem to have changed that much

Nope

And lots lots of other locations and it doesn't say arid . And predicting people in hot places will build tall shit doesn't require magic powers

Nor does this help it .As saying people will build tall shit doesn't require magic powers .Because people have always built tall shit .Tall being relative . Hell Mo could have at least been as precise as Noah and put in some measurements.

This isn't point in you favour then .

Quote:So stop the strawmans and deal with the facts: Muhammad does get it right, every time
These are not straw men there clear indictments of your so called prophets inability to say what hell he means .and no he does not he gives us a vague list of things that could apply to anything

As if it's absence in Islamic literature means anything

(May 15, 2020 at 5:45 pm)Klorophyll Wrote: What follows is quoted from Sahih Muslim, one the most renowned collections of authentic hadiths;

He (the enquirer) again said: Inform me about the hour (of the Doom). He (the Holy Prophet) remarked: One who is asked knows no more than the one who is inquiring (about it). He (the inquirer) said: Tell me some of its indications. He (the Holy Prophet) said: That the slave-girl will give birth to her mistress and master, that you will find barefooted, destitute goat-herds vying with one another in the construction of magnificent buildings. [Source : https://sunnah.com/muslim/1/1]

'Barefooted, destitute goat-herds' incontrovertibly refers to inhabitants of any country in the Arabian peninsula. These folks, according to Muhammad, will compete with each other about building the tallest skyscrapers. The Arabic equivalent of "vying with one another", tatawala' تطاول is more expressive, being derived from the word toul' طول literally meaning length. The reader can easily check the accuracy of these translations. Muhammad clearly referred to buildings, guaranteeing that this prophecy can't be misinterpreted in any other way.

Muhammad's prophecy came true in the modern era, there are many skyscrapers in numerous countries belonging to the Arab league:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ta...rab_League.

Now let's hear our dear skeptics complaining of the vagueness of Muhammad's prophecies ; Lalala

Nothing in what you just posted gives any  modern specifics, such as modern names, modern news, modern science.

They had tall buildings in antiquity too. "Tall" to them was relative to their time. They were not talking about modern buildings. If it were a "prophecy", not that there is any such thing, but if there were, why not names like "Sears Tower" or "Empire State Building" in those exact letter sequences?

The ancient egyptian pyramids and Taj Mahal were gigantic for their times.

It is about the future, but it should be conveyed in words understandable to people back then. Just imagine someone making a genuine prophecy and starting to describe some really weird clothes in minutious detail - weird relative to his audience, that is- they won't have any clue and wouldn't be able to relate it to something they already know.

The hadith also mentions people competing to build them.

Your religion isn't the only one to have followers that point to their holy writings and claim that they make predictions.

Our species worldwide has always had religious people who do this.

Even in ancient Greece and Rome they had holy seers called soothsayers and oracles.

Nobody in antiquity worldwide had any capability of knowing the modern scientific knowledge we know now.

If you want REAL predictions, turn to science, if you want fantasy, stick to old mythology.
