The laws are draconian enough, (even if you do get a free candy bar with the purchase of each). The laws just need to be enforced, for a fact.
I'm sure you're right; this will be a major issue for a lot of people.
It's also hilarious to me that "they're coming for your guns" is what gets people worked up.
They're coming for your Social Security and your health care and your habeus corpus and your post office and your breathable atmosphere and the lives of innocent people in Yemen and a dozen other things that get less reaction than the (mostly fictional) gun control thing.

Yeah, I just don't understand those people. And "those people" are a huge chunk of the US' citizens. They stand still for this, even cheer for it, when it isn't even close to being in their best interest. I was in my carving class at the senior center before the lock down, and someone started praising the chump. When I told them about how he was on TV talking about taking away entitlements, ONE guy got pretty vocal about how that was his money (and he's right). All the rest just sat there quietly or maybe mumbled into their beards (including some of his female supporters). For the life of me, I don't understand female support of this guy. One of my wife's friends said, "Well, boys will be boys!". Then again, she has two children by two different fathers and has never married. I guess she has a different expectation from men. Having children out of wedlock doesn't bear stigma for me, it's just an indicator of what she will tolerate from a man. The father of her second child also has two other children by two other women who are in the same age range of her daughter, by just a few months, plus or minus. He didn't pay any sort of support for that daughter, and quite likely didn't for the other children, either, as none of the mothers were married to him. I guess it's nice to have a harem with no responsibility for the offspring.

I am just always amazed that the wingnuts go out and spend all their money on guns and ammo when the prices are skyrocketing...
Me - that's when I SELL......
...
Last time around I sold boxes of .22 LR I bought for $9 as box (of 550) for $40....
I could have gotten $100 a box - but I dislike gouging...

Fuck 'em. You need money, they "need" ammo. Win-win. .22 LR is for killing squirrels (and paper, my favorite target).
I didn't buy ammo in those days because (if I did find it) it was stupid expensive. I don't care that much about killing paper, I have lots of other hobbies. Though my marksmanship did suffer a little. One needs practice for good marksmanship.

My buy low/sell high strategy (the most sound economic model) has pretty much allowed me free plinking for years..
My Marlin 39A has destroyed a mountain of vermin around the farm. My favorite ammo is CB caps. It makes the .22 quieter than my pellet rifle (no hearing protection required) while still offering outstanding 40 meter accuracy.

I remember an article in Reader's Digest in the '60s that proposed that very thing. All the candidates stink? NOTA_____
