A North Carolina school district has taken a controversial step to increase security in the wake of recent school shootings that have happened across the country.
On Friday, Madison County Schools in Western North Carolina announced that, in collaboration with the county sheriff's office, it would be outfitting every building in the district with an AR-15 assault rifle, according to the Asheville Citizen-Times. The move comes in response to the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, in May, where a gunman killed 19 students and two teachers.

All this will do is make it easier for mass shootings to happen.

Especially since kids are notorious for sneaking into areas of the school where they're not supposed to be.

Soo... how exactly are we going to keep someone with bad intent from accessing said AR-15? Where would you put it? Who would you get to access it? Can we be sure that, in the time it takes for said person to access the AR-15 and go to the site of the shooting, you can actually get to the shooter and actually take him out?

Schools are supposed to be safe havens of learning, not armories where you store weapons, after all.

And we've now got at least two examples of schools shootings where the police on-scene did nothing to stop the mass-murder. Now we're expected to believe that teachers and staff with much less training will?

Ever hear of this thing called "a safe"??
Really nifty invention.
You can put things inside it and it has a door you close with this wonderful invention called "a lock".
When you lock it - unauthorized people.would need to resort to industrial power tools or high explosives to get at what is inside.
Some of these locks can even be key3d with biometric information such as a fingerprint.....
Technology - ya gotta love it....

I'm surprised you haven't considered the low-tech way to breach a high-tech safe. I bet if you think really hard, it'll come to you (hint: no industrial power tools or high explosives or fancy biometric work arounds needed).
