In addition to the Hitler comments, Kanye also said yesterday that he wishes one of his (former) celebrity friends would kill him so he could see his mom again.

I can see him harming himself after he comes down from his manic state.

He made well over $200 million, liquid, in 2020 from his music. But that income stream is definitely going to dwindle now. I wouldn't be shocked if Spotify and Apple Music make the decision to remove his music, which would be a massive blow to him (and them, actually, so we'll see if they go through with it).

I doubt that $200k/month number will make sense in just a year from now. He's going to hemorrhage money after this. Keep in mind, his net worth was nearly $2 billion this time last year. That's a massive decrease.

2 billion in pretend money, as is so often the case with valuations. Truth is, he's as rich as he was before, and as nuts as he was before. Nothing changed beyond peoples (and his own) expectations of how much money he might make them. The danger of living in multiple layers of fantasy, up to and including his net worth. One of which we generally tend to agree on, despite it being no more based in a fact than the other which we have decided is untenable. Amusingly, it's pretty clear that the two fantasy worlds collided with each other and with reality to make him what we see today. Chicken or egg situation, but with money and a black skinhead routine.

I think either the guy has a weird way of saying things and putting things across, he doesn't think before he says things, or he's absolutely crazy.

I'm just glad to see where the limit is on the kinds of ridiculous speech republicans will defend.

You can have all the exact same political/social beliefs as the German national socialist party of 1940 and the GOP won't stand up and say you're wrong.  You can spout all kinds of horrible racism and antisemitism and hate speech and that's all fair game.  Encourage LGBT people to be murdered and they'll still defend you under their belief in freedom of speech.  But once you say something positive about Hitler or Nazi's, you're tainted to them.
