Going by your logic, it's cool to deadname and misgender conservative trans women, because they're working against the cause by being conservative, so therefore we need not respect their identity? Yes because dead-naming transpeople is the same as not using Kanye's new name. Because I so believe he really cares about this and it isn't just for attention because he's a massive narcissist whose using the horrible legacy of slavery to prop himself up   

Kanye can call himself whatever he wants and we can mock him for it seeming insincere and Ali has apologized so many times for his past comments and has done a lot to be a legitimately good person. Kanye could too but his ego would never allow it.
