OFC, like I said - either boring shit, or a horror story. I don't think that the gaggle of civvies trump was flashing this to for love and bellyrubs shoved their noses where they knew they shouldn't be because they wanted to see the boring shit - as important is it may be. They were looking, like him, for something that confirmed their ct worldview.

How, if you've ever read any classified docs, even low level shit, they often read like apocalypse scenarios - mostly because they're intentionally created to mention, among other things, the worst possible interpretation of the data.

The only classified stuff I ever read was the T.O. on various airplanes and munitions, in order to know how to shut 'em down, get the pilot out, and know what threats might be present. As @LinuxGal writes, all very dry and dusty, but pretty important. I could see the esoteric stuff being interesting to the whackadoodles, though.

Groundpounders get read into a bunch of schrodingers militant shit. The enemy may or may not exist, may or may not be armed with deleterious weapons, may or may not have the full support of the locals, may or may not know we're coming. So assume they have a dirty bomb and every pair of eyes on every street corner is in on it and you're going to die.

I think, for some people, it's the belief that some classified doc somewhere is totally going to confirm whatever conspiracy theory is central to their political identities.  So, if they found a marked folder laying open at arby's they'd have to look on principle, to see if it was The One.  

You know, rather than close the jacket and make the call.  You hear trump saying that shit directly in the recording.  It -proves- some batshit point he's been yapping about (it doesn't, but he thinks it does). So, like you, I'm just going to not look and make a call and when they ask me "which ones" I'm going to say "ha, tricky fucks, no clue I didn't look and I won't be self incriminating today - but nice try".

Having worked with like material for decades, I'd know that I was breaking the law just by looking, because I know that I do not have a need to know. I could be charged just for looking at it, on that basis.

They didn't want to. Intersectionality. Like the donors that seeded those same institutions with arsonists, it's not even that they wanted the reich wing shit specifically, they wanted some other thing that the reich wing support might get them, or so they believed. Now they're out there shouting acab and talking about defunding the police. Face Eating Leopard party.

Law enforcement (and the military), for example, has long known that terrorists in the us are overwhelmingly white and white wing and always have been. OTOH, those guys let them murder civilians and steal their money and throw them in the forgetting place without accountability....so...

I don't think we're going to get out of the weeds on this one until there's a major change in us party politics. Until the democrats are our right wing, essentially - and lets face it, they already are what the right wing was before it was nothing but old klansmen yelling at clouds. We're already in the process of this change and it's this very thing that has the reich wing lashing out before it loses the power to do so. It was the failure of the neocons to steal the left wing brand (ala slick willy coopting their platform from the democratic side) that lead to this.
