Habba added that Kavanaugh and the other justices will step up “not because they’re pro-Trump, but because they’re pro-law, because they’re pro-fairness.”
https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/43...lot-cases/ Habba seems not to understand at all what "separation of powers means", which is particularly disturbing since she seems to be a lawyer.

I think Habba got her law degree from a cracker jack box. Or at least that's how it seems.

LOL - Maybe a Happy Meal toy, in keeping with Mickey D's theme in Trumpworld.

Certainly not to improve her arguments. Is this even natural or the result of plastic surgery? Do we have any info on that?

Sounds like T****y's people are not getting good vibes from the six Roland Freislers, the way Habba's talking to McRape-Face. They have their positions, they don't need him any more. I'd say they're thinking they've got Thomas and maybe Alito at the moment and that's about it.

Given the fact that Thomas is bought and paid for by the Republicans, he should recuse himself.
I’d dearly love to see this mess turn out to be a hat trick:
1. Trump declared ineligible to run.
2. Trump and the Trump Org bankrupted by the civil suits.
3. Trump behind bars.
As lagniappe, Trump becomes so despondent over 1,2, and 3 that he ODs on his antidepressants and is found dead in his prison cell, drowned in a pool of his own vom.

It's hard to say. This court has shown itself committed to originalism only insofar as it serves their purposes. I also think they'll be concerned about the backlash from the hard right upon the wider social fabric should Trump be disallowed. It could go either way, I think.

Quote:Former Democratic National Committee Chair Donna Brazile said Sunday that U.S. Supreme Court justices appointed by former President Trump don’t owe him “one thing” and should not treat him differently when they hear arguments in his appeal of the Colorado Supreme Court decision removing the former president from the state’s primary ballot under the 14th Amendment.

Judge Engoron had ruled that Trump may not deliver comments during his lawyers’ losing arguments. The reason for the ruling is that Trump would have had to agree to 1) not verbally attack court staff, 2) stick to the facts of the case and their relevance to the law, and 3) not make a campaign speech in court. The judge extended the deadline three times for Trump to agree. The last one expired today at noon.
These are the same conditions that apply to ANY person who wishes to speak in court.

He could have agreed to the terms and then been his usual cheeky self by stating, these are the facts as I perceive them.
