The funniest part is that none of them actually believe it. If you genuinely thought the end of the world was immanent then you would running round like crazy letting everyone know and preparing. They sat here put up a few posts and I bet they all went to work or whatever else they had to do..

I'm wondering why GC seems skeptical. Is this whole god business only believable when he's the one making claims?

Religious nuts have been claiming the world's going to end for hundreds of years, nothing has ever happened. We've lived through all 'end of the world' dates. Feel free to add more dates, but it just supports the fact that you don't know jack shit. It also demonstrates that you don't use evidence, you're lead by belief alone and just look at how many inaccuracies there are as a result.

History has been an endless parade of people claiming that they have intimate knowledge from god that the world is about to end. The world has not ended. Therefore another person claiming the exact same thing probably has as much truth to it as past claims under similar circumstances.
