One this planet all social species from insects to cattle and lions to humans follow the same general morality although that wife coveting appears to be more exclusively human -- and may be less desirable in terms of evolution.
For humans morality is essentially the basic social norms which have a fairly limited range of variations. Theft and murder, the really big ones, are simply more or less common among the species.

No wonder it's so difficult to find god. You've got to read hundreds of thousands of books.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

I doubt that is the case. More likely, to believe in god one must surrender all reason for something that is illogical under scrutiny.

Reading books and denying myself, sounds like a lot of work, I'd rather play video games and watch porn, if I can't find God while I'm doing that, no one can find God anywhere.

1. If objectivity morality exists, to deny that it exists is one of the worst possible crimes
Would anyone dispute that statement?
Yes.
What the worst possible crime might be is would then be determined by the contents of that objective morality - the contents you know nothing about since you don't know of its existence in the first place. By making that statement, you are assuming the contents without establishing its existence.

If it was that serious then it'd be punishable and you'd be in jail.

No, read book reviews that lead you to the good ones. And read books that take the best of all of them. You don't have to read every book, but try to capture the tradition. Find out which are the best ones. Read histories and anthologies.
You don't have to read hundreds of thousands of books to understand Christianity, but at least try and get a sense of what the Christian tradition actually teaches.

The trouble, Strodel, is not whether one can find a god in a book, or hundreds of thousands of them. There are plenty of gods in plenty of books. The trouble, Strodel, is that we can't find them anywhere else.
Speaking of characters in media, did you know that Dracula is one of the most widely leveraged characters in all of storytelling? Guess I should start hanging some garlic over my door.

You should do those things. You'd still be wasting your life but at least your butthole would unclench a little.
