Anybody up for an arguement against my Christian beliefs?

Some of you guys might think of us as simple minded idiots, but that is only some Christians. For those people who tend to use harsh words that tend to consider me an idiot, I really hope you have better things to do in real life than that. I understand that this forum is about sharing and opposing beliefs, but nobody needs to be cybernetic douche bag. I have my beliefs and I am not intending on trying to change anybody or myself.

It's not uncommon for a believer to come here and make posts like yours and then get preachy and eventually banned or run away. Your post smelled like that and hence snarkiness from the forum member ensues.

As knight suggested, post a topic about what you want to discuss and you will be given a fair shake.

Isn't that the worst part of debating a Christian? Not only do you have to debate the obvious flaws of believing in invisible things, but you have to educate them on basic scientific principle. Unfair to say the least.

Pretty much, yes.

I guess at some level I'm disturbed by the fact that 21st century humans still think like 8th century peasants.

The guy didn't even state his beliefs yet.

Why are most Christians who come on this site a flash in the pan? It's like they come in, take a dump on the floor and leave, without the occasional whiff to check if it stinks or not.

Argument from personal incredulity (argument from ignorance) IE "I lack the knowledge, imagination or intelligence to think of anything else". A common ploy of theists, who respond to what they don't understand with "god-did-it".

Other reasons could include; Occam's razor; it's part of his course in apologetics just as he claimed (I have no reason to think he's a liar) or the arrogance of personal certitude, or the wise attempt to know one's enemy or even to hone critical thinking skills .Some apologists are very bright. (try debating a Jesuit)

Will I debate this bloke? NO. I don't care about his personal superstitions [or lack of them] and do not conflate winning an argument with being right necessarily. Neither have I ever seen debating done well on an internet forum;in my opinion, debates need to be in real time. -Thinking clearly on the fly is to me the most important aspect of debating.

PS @ Ramen; it's 'argument' . I mention this as simple spelling errors make you seem lazy or illiterate, and do not help your credibility.

Lighten up on nit-picking spelling. Does not really help your case when you make a simple error bitchin' about his simple error.

There is a space after a comma.

I mention this as simple typing/grammer errors make you seem lazy or illiterate and do not help your credibility.

See? Not helpful.

It should read; "It does not......."

I used to tell a lot of religious jokes. Not any more, I'm a registered sects offender.

Spelling is more or less irrelevant, my spelling gets worse the more wound up I am, BUT if people understand what I say then who gives a damn.

Aynawy its been sowhn taht you can raed esilay waht is written as long as the first and last letter are right.
