Anybody up for an arguement against my Christian beliefs?

@Dotard

No pedantic knit picking? But it's one of my favourite things.

It was not my intention to be helpful. I was taking the piss out of the deserving.

Such a momentous task. I'm sure you're up to it TD Wink

Like I've said before Frodo, in America, education is free until you are 18. I don't believe I should be charged with catching em' up on several years of ignored science! I don't have the energy, and teaching is definitely not my passion.

By the way, sorry for the animosity initially. Its hard to contain my reptilian brain influenced retorts whilst at work...

I'll care to wager... it's because you are a grumpy old man? Angel Cloud

Yet another drive-by theist... {sighs}

Let me share a highly guarded secret with you, Ramen. Most people don't know this, but I'll risk the legal prosecution and tell you the protected secret: you can have atheists and other non-Christians argue against your beliefs by... {drum roll}... participating in the forums! Seriously. It's just that simple. Find a thread that captures your interest, respond with your Christian perspective on the matter, and any number of people here at the site will argue against that view you shared. That is practically guaranteed.

But I'll tell you another secret? Nobody—and I mean literally no one—is going to take you seriously if you make three basically inane posts and then disappear. That's precisely the sort of thing that makes folks around here (and anywhere else) view people like you as "simple-minded idiots." They have every reason, primarily because you hand it to them. If you want to test the rational integrity of your beliefs in an atheistic environment like this, there are two things you must do at the very least: demonstrate tenacity by actually sticking around, and show yourself as someone to be taken seriously by contributing substantive content. That's it. Pretty basic.

Ramen Noodles Wrote:As I mentioned before, this is just for an assignment.

Three inane posts and no follow through? I would give you a failing grade on the assignment.

Ramen Noodles Wrote:I honestly don't know how to be an apologist.

Clearly. Moreover, I find myself doubting you even know what 'apologia' means.

Ramen Noodles Wrote:Some of you guys might think of us as simple minded idiots, but that is only some Christians.

If the shoe fits...

Ramen Noodles Wrote:For those people who tend to use harsh words that tend to consider me an idiot, I really hope you have better things to do in real life than that.

They probably do. And after they have done those better things in real life, they come here to relax and unwind. And if it bothers you when they consider you an idiot, Ramen, then make sure you're not voluntarily handing them reasons to think that.

Ramen Noodles Wrote:Nobody needs to be cybernetic douche bag.

Right. So, stop it.

Ramen Noodles Wrote:I have my beliefs and I am not intending on trying to change anybody or myself.

That's unfortunate, and also a very good reason to not bother coming back.

Now you've done it. How are we going to get this cat back into the bag?
