Odds are you know someone who has a pacemaker... For them I'd answer - yes indeed.

It's not magic just because the word "heart" is in it you know...

The question is more to do with what is sustaining all things. Not just the heart. Since we know that it is impossible that nothing could be sustaining anything.

I'm disappointed his avatar isn't professor Hubert Farnsworth. There's still time!

I'm pretty sure I see an argument from ignorance on the horizon.

Great. We've got a new Pidgeon of the Month.

When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

Good, now let me ask you an important question: what do you mean by sustaining, and why is it needed?

TGN,

I am sure that in your delusions you think that eventually you'll get to God or Jesus as the driver for life.

Sadly you are 100% wrong. We know from your gospel that Jesus didn't have a clue about basic biology. The alimentary canal was completely beyond him - he showed no concept of the function of eating and he thought that the heart is where thoughts and morality came from. In short - he was a moron.

Here's a passage from Mark 7 - read it. Tell what it says about Jesus' knowledge of how biology works - note the complete lack of mention of the brain - anywhere in his diatribe:

14 Again Jesus called the crowd to him and said, “Listen to me, everyone, and understand this. 15 Nothing outside a person can defile them by going into them. Rather, it is what comes out of a person that defiles them.” [16] [f]

17 After he had left the crowd and entered the house, his disciples asked him about this parable. 18 “Are you so dull?” he asked. “Don’t you see that nothing that enters a person from the outside can defile them? 19 For it doesn’t go into their heart but into their stomach, and then out of the body.” (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods clean.)

20 He went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. 21 For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, 22 adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. 23 All these evils come from inside and defile a person.

No. No it won't. Your belief in this antiquated religion is only going to have dire consequences for YOUR soul.
You arrogant self-proclaimed sheep come in here pushing the immoral teachings of jesus christ and the elitist unjust notions of a narcissistic creator bent on the eternal torture of people whos only crime was being born. It is YOU who is the offender here. YOU are the one promoting the evil. It is YOUR god that promises a negative and terrifying end. It is YOUR bible that is the disease. All dictators promote their own cause as "righteous." YOU are the one who is blind. YOU are the one that does not realize that YOUR own soul is damned for your actions.

I'm not an atheist. I'm not bound by what my atheist friends believe. That's right pal. Not all of us believe that we simply cease to exist at death. Since you came in here and so rudely told us what you "KNOW" about our afterlife, let me tell you what I "KNOW" about yours...

When your body dies, your soul is not going to be able to overcome the reality that your god does not exist. You're not going to be able to grasp that a tall white jesus is NOT waiting for you and your soul is going to either get lost or it's simply going to die. The arrogance of christianity that made you so high-and-mighty in this life is going to be your final undoing in the next. Your mind is so utterly closed to anything other than an ancient phony god that you will not be able to make the natural progression your soul was meant to make.

Look up the history of your god Yahweh and you will see that he is no different than any other god. He is a creation of the human mind, changed over time and recreated for your brand of christianity. My point is, your blind devotion to your evil unjust deity IS going to be your ultimate undoing.
